Preval One Of Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies

Inc. Magazine Unveils Its Annual Exclusive List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc.500|5000

Preval Ranks No. 213 in industry and No. 2205 on the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 113%

PORTLAND, Me. — Inc. magazine ranked Preval no. 213 in the advertising and marketing industry on its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Preval also ranked no. 4 overall in the state of Maine, and no. 2205 overall on the Inc. 500|5000 ranking.

Preval is recognized as a progressive leader in specialty niche marketing and the maker of category leading health products sold in national retail pharmacy chains such as Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, as well as online and through direct response. Incorporated in 1999, Preval is based in Maine with headquarters in Portland.

Online retailer ideeli tops this year’s Inc. 500|5000 list. Preval joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000.

“Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward.  Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson.

Methodology
The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.

ActiFade at the Oscars: Gifting Lounge Highlights

Celebrities went gaga for ActiFade: Face age spot, blemish and dark circle remover. In fact, some said that they had just been to their dermatologist to have them help with dark circles and age spots.

It’s a common problem with everyone and every age. Some may think that age spots are cause by “age”, but it’s actually just caused by sun exposure. So all the celebrities at the gifting lounge were very enthusiastic about ActiFade.

We took part in the Oscar’s Gifting Lounge, last Thursday in Beverly Hills at the Luxe Hotel Penthouse on Rodeo Drive. About 115 celebrities stopped by to talk with ActiFade.

Erik Estrada, Todd Bridges “Willis”, Sofia Milos (CSI Miami), Vienna Giardi (The Bachelor, Jake’s Season), Shari Headley (Lisa, Coming to America), Deidra Hall, Ernie Hudson, Natasha Alam (Playboy, True Blood), and Jose Conseco were some of the stars that stopped by and were interested in the ActiFade skin care line, which includes ActiFade, ActiFade: Face, ActiFade: Necklift, ActiFade: Upper Eye Lift and ActiFade: KP for Skin bumps.
